Have you ever thought of yourself as part of a living tool box? Picture a table of instruments: a surgeon’s tray, a mechanic’s tool box, an electrician’s belt, a carver’s chisels. In each case, a series of tools, each designed for a specific function, a particular task.
Each of us is crafted as an instrument of Love. Cast, shaped and formed in different ways, with different talents and functions, we are most effective when we collaborate together.
Unlike the tools of a skilled craftsperson that are formed once at the beginning of their lives and remain essentially unchanged for the period of their usefulness, we can continue to develop and refine our abilities, picking up new talents, skills, and uses as we go.
