Reality, it turns out, is a matter of perspective.
A large enough projectile, traveling at a high enough velocity, can kill a person. The projectile is made up of atoms, which are mostly empty space, and a few sub-atomic particles, which in turn consist of energy vibrating at certain frequencies.
The fact that, from a different perspective, the projectile is ultimately comprised of empty space and vibrating energy, does not make the person hit by it any less dead.
Likewise, I and me are as real as anything. Until we shift our perspective and find that, from this angle, they, too, are empty space and vibrating energy.
