This week marks half a year for this blog. The inspiration for writing every day came from Seth Godin, who has written a daily blog for years. In addition to writing daily, Godin inspires me through his ability to see the same things we all see – but differently.
Part of the inspiration for posting a poem every Monday (in addition to poetry being beautiful and important), is because poets see the same things we all see – but differently.
I focus on stories because of their power to shape our reality. I aspire to notice the world the way Godin and the poets do. Changing the stories we tell helps us to see what we saw before – but differently.
