The number of reasons not to start something are endless:
· “I don’t know enough”;
· “I’m not good enough”;
· “I don’t have time”;
· “I can’t afford it”;
· “Nobody will want what I offer” …
Ask yourself this: will you ever know enough/be good enough/have time/be able to afford it …? Sometimes the reasons we give ourselves for not starting indicate important pre-work we need to do first. More often, they are stories we tell to give us an excuse not to take a risk.
Everyone has something to offer right now: an idea, a project, friendship, time, money, a dance, a poem, a smile for a stranger. The perfect is the enemy of the good, and telling yourself that tomorrow will be a better day to start than today is just another story.
Start today.
