The wisest people I have encountered have at least one thing in common: an acute awareness of their own limitedness. An understanding that there was far more that they didn’t know than what they did know. Because of it, they were open – even expected – to be surprised.
The sharp edges of change are smoothed to the extent that we expect it and accept it.
